Free online training for veterans Coursera provides all Veterans with one free certificate upon completion of any of the over 800 Coursera courses that you chose to take. Coursera provides universal access to the world’s best education, partnering with top universities and organizations to offer courses online. Sign up and start taking courses today at the Veterans Employment Center. After signing up you will be issued veteran credential after which you can sign in to Coursera and register for courses.
Resume Template. Time.com provides a resume design and word template you can download to make your resume stand out in 2016.
Veterans Job Bank. Search for jobs using the VA’s Job Search website.
Transition GPS Training. Learn how to align your goals with your future career. This standalone Joint Knowledge Online course is available for veterans and family members. Courseware includes lessons on AN employment workshop, federal employment and entrepreneur track self employment.

College Comparison Tool. The VA has a website tool that can assist veterans to determine their educational GI Bill benefits based upon a specific school. Enter the school name to find out tuition, housing and books dollar amount covered by the different GI Bill educational benefits.

eBenefits. This VA website provides access to information on benefits, healthcare, education, and jobs. Once you are registered, you will find this site can be useful for managing your VA benefits, too.
PTSD Resources. U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has a website for veterans to connect with others who are dealing with issues stemming from military combat and service. You can search for experiences similar to yours and connect with other veterans at Make the Connection.net. The Vet Center offers readjustment counseling at no cost. VA Oxnard Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. VA Healthcare services available include: Primary Care, Women’s Health, Dietetics (Dietician), Physical Therapy, Mental Health, Clinical Pharmacy Specialists limited to anticoagulation and diabetic case management, Telehealth (mental health, retinal and audiology), Laboratory, and Radiology. Casino Night Fundraiser. DATE: Saturday, May 21st. TIME: 6 pm to 10 pm. LOCATION: VCCF Nonprofit Center, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd, Camarillo. Cost is $75 per person for Casino Night or $85 per person for the Texas Hold’em Tournament. This is a Gold Coast Veterans Foundation sponsored event and the proceeds will be used to fund our Veterans Connection program. EDD Veterans Job and Career Orientation. DATE: Tuesdays every other week. Next orientation is on May 24, 2016. TIME: 8:15 am to 12 pm. LOCATION: Gold Coast Veterans Foundation, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd, Suite D, Camarillo. EDD holds Veterans Orientation honoring our service men and women. Representatives from VA Veterans Center, Ventura County Veterans Service Office and EDD Workforce Services Veterans Service Program will be present. Call EDD at (805) 382-8610 for more information. Gold Coast Veterans Foundation is hosting EDD for a couple months while there facilities are renovated. Admission is free to veterans.

VA Claims Representative available for walk in appointments. DATE: Every Wednesday (except May 17 and 25th to move office). TIME: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Claims representative assists veterans and their family members file claims and applications with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
